Our routine maintenance checks by an Infinity Environmental engineer help ensure the longevity of your Klargester BioDisc and identify common wear-and-tear components.
The bearings within these units are wearable parts that require periodic replacement. Since the rotating biological contactor discs turn on these bearings continuously, we typically recommend replacement by one of our wastewater servicing engineers every three to five years, or as soon as signs of wear appear during your annual service.
When bearing bushes become worn, the shaft can become unstable. If left unaddressed, this instability can lead to operational issues and potentially cause the system to fail completely. We recommend monitoring these components closely during your scheduled maintenance to ensure the continued reliability of your unit.
Please let us know if you would like to schedule a service visit or if you have any questions regarding the mechanical health of your system.
