The Klargester BioDisc is a packaged Sewage Treatment Plant that utilizes Rotating Biological Contactor (RBC) technology, offering significant cost and performance benefits, along with a low carbon footprint. Specifically, the Klargester Gravity BioDisc has demonstrated impressive efficiency ratings, achieving a performance equivalent to 10 mg/l BOD5, 15 mg/l SS, and 3.8 mg/l Ammonia.

A highly efficient and environmentally safe sewage disposal solution for domestic dwellings without access to mains drainage. This system is ideal for locations where discharge is to sub-surface irrigation or a suitable watercourse (with regulator approval), especially when a septic tank will not meet the required standards.

You have the option to choose between a Gravity system or an Integral Pumped System (IPS). The Gravity system is the standard choice. However, if the inlet to your watercourse or soakaway is higher than the outlet of the treatment plant, the Integral Pumped System (IPS) will be necessary to pump the wastewater uphill to your discharge point. The IPS also includes a high-level alarm for added peace of mind.

Klargester Biodisc

How it Works

The Klargester BioDisc, a highly efficient packaged Sewage Treatment Plant. The BioDisc utilizes advanced Rotating Biological Contactor (RBC) technology to provide exceptional sewage treatment. The system operates on four key principles, which, combined with the details highlighted in the accompanying video, demonstrate its effectiveness and innovative design in wastewater treatment.

Primary Settlement Tank

Wastewater and sewage flows into the primary settlement tank where the large solids are retained for future removal.

First Biological Treatment

The liquor and the fine solids then flow into the Biological Treatment Zone 1 where the first stage of treatment occurs.

Second Stage Biological Treatment

The liquor is then fed forward at a controlled rate into Biological Treatment Zone 2 for further cleaning.

Final Settlement Tank

The clean liquid passes into the final settlement tank where it can be discharged to ground or watercourse
